Naturewriting.com recently posted a review of The Haiku Apprentice, Abigail Friedman's amazingly insightful memoirs of being a diplomat in Japan and discovering the everyday world of haiku poetry. I highly recommend The Haiku Apprentice. It is entertaining, educational, and inspirational. Nature writers will find much to think about and to try in their writing. Teachers will find some great ideas to use with their classes.
